The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) ended the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Section 25C) for property placed in service after December 31, 2025, so it is not available for 2026.
Historically it gave 30% back on energy-efficient home improvements: up to $1,200/year for insulation, windows, and doors plus $2,000/year for heat pumps, up to $3,200 total per year.
